This is a new section for this month’s newsletter. We will now be featuring some of our favorite items in each newsletter. This month is one of our best kept secrets….PIE SQUARES!! These amazing bites of goodness are one of our newer bakery products.

Using our secret recipe pie crust and pie fillings made with our own fruit we fold these over on a tray and slice them into bite size pieces warm out of the oven. These are the perfect snack with morning coffee, and are great to have plated up when you have company coming over. They are also perfect for someone who cannot eat a whole pie on their own, or someone who doesn’t want to eat a lot at once. They come in different flavors and are a must have new item! Don’t forget to pick up a box next time you’re here.

After the cool, wet winter we have had this year we are very excited for the early signs of spring that are popping up. Walking around the farm you can smell Barb’s Daphne plants…they have the most beautiful aroma and are some of the first plants to bloom in the spring. She has had hers in the ground for years now so they are quite large, but we have some smaller one gallon sized pots available. Once you smell these you won’t be able to leave without one! The flowering plums and forsythias are pushing their buds and are just about to burst with color, same goes for the tulip and daffodils that are scattered around. The greenhouses are filling up every day with more and more varieties of everything from heucheras, boxwoods, & ceders to strawberries, blueberries, & apple trees! Come on out and enjoy the signs of the season with us!
