| FUN UPCOMING EVENTS! Here at the farm we wanted to let you know
about a few fun things that we have going on in
the next few weeks…
With summer's late onset it's hard to believe that we are already planning for pumpkin patch. But we are! This year we want your help preparing for our fall harvest festival.
We are having a T-Shirt design contest starting now through August 31st. This contest is open to all ages and will contain 2 different divisions, one for 0-14 years of age and one for 15+ years. We want to see how you would portray the pumpkin patch and fall harvest festival in a way that everyone could see and wear on a daily basis!
These T-Shirt designs can be cute, fun, serious, stick figures, or full realistic drawings. It is best if the designs are submitted as a vector based digital file, hand drawing may be altered in the process of digital conversion. The only requirement for the design is that it must have the year 2011 on it, and it must include our name, Bauman Farms or Bauman’s Farm & Garden.
There will be a grand prize of $200 for each division with some other great prizes for the runners up. The winners name will be printed on the T-Shirts and the design will be displayed for thousands to see!

 LEAF CASTING CLASS
We have our last few summer classes coming up in the next few weeks. This Saturday at 1:00pm we will be having a Leaf Casting Class. In the class you will have the opportunity to preserve a beautiful summer Hosta leaf through this fun hands-on process.
After the class you will be able to go home and do it over and over again and create some really beautiful pieces for your garden.
The cost for the class is $30. This is really a fun new project that you can take home and teach your kids or grandkids to do!
 PIE MAKING
CLASS
Our last class that we have scheduled for the summer is our Pie Making Class at 1:00pm on Saturday, August 20th.
At this free class you will have the chance to hear from Tonya, our Bakery Manager. She will let you in on all of the tricks of the trade, how to get the perfect consistency in your fillings, what we use for a sugarless option, and so much more.
Come and ask questions on anything about pie making, from what kinds of apples are best, to what do you do with fresh vs. frozen fruit.
