Hello again everyone! Hopefully during this past week you have all received your Bauman Family Rewards Mailer for this quarter. This quarter’s flyer included some great coupons and recipes. We also announced that we are bringing back one of our most popular sales, our weekly berry sales! In past years this sale has been a great success, for us and for all of you! Every week from now until the end of March we will be featuring a different berry. This week for example is Marionberry. With your family rewards card you can receive 20% off Marionberry pies, Marionberry jam, and our ever popular frozen Marionberries. Next week we will be featuring blueberries with our Berry Blast Pie. The berry blast pie has a blend of Marions, Blueberries, and Raspberries; it makes a fantastic dessert! Make sure to stop by once a week between now and the end of March to take advantage of these great sales! If you are not yet a member of the Family Rewards, don’t worry! We have been preparing for months and it is finally here… The Yard Garden & Patio Show at the Oregon Convention Center, the show runs February 12-14th, yes next weekend! Come up and check out our beautiful booth and see a sneak peak of some plants for spring. All weekend long in our booth we will be having an Orchid sale. We will have many orchids displayed at prices that are just too good to pass up! On Saturday the 13th at 3:30pm, Brian will be speaking at a seminar on sedums. He will be demonstrating how to create a ‘sedum pillow.’ Make sure to stop in to the free seminar!

To help keep you updated on the nursery we have redesigned the nursery page on our website. It will be updated weekly and will let you know what is new out in the greenhouses, what is at the end of its season, and what you should be doing in your garden.  It will even have a weekly gardening tip or tidbit and lots of photos of everything that’s in bloom. Also, to make solving your plant problems easier we have also added a ‘quick question’ comment box, allowing you to ask us a plant question quickly and easily!

Speaking of keeping you up to date on everything out in the greenhouses, right now we have pot after pot of fruit and berry plants. We have Honeycrisp and Red Gravenstein bare root apple tree as well as five different types of blueberries, including the great tasting duke and a brand new PINK blueberry. We have many varieties of grapes and cane berries as well that are just beginning to push new growth and are ready to be planted. Not sure what kind of blueberry, or maybe even what variety of raspberry you want?? Ask one of our knowledgeable greenhouse staff and they will be more than happy to help you choose the right variety.

Spring is just around the corner and everything is kicking into high gear around here. So make sure to stop by regularly and watch the greenhouses come to life. Until next time, we look forward to seeing you and your families!
