This Saturday, Dec 5th is the day that you and a friend have to come out to the farm. Everything in the store is 20% off if you are a Bauman’s Family Reward Member and if you bring a friend and sign them up then you and your friend will get 25% off your entire purchase.  With so many things going on and such great sales we decided to open early at 8 am and stay open late until 6 pm.

If the sale alone is not enough of a reason to come see us this weekend then wait till you hear about all the exciting events that will be taking place throughout the day. Between 8 am and 10 am we will have trays of piping hot donuts and mini scones available to snack for FREE while you shop. We will also have FREE cups of Hot Cider and Coffee throughout the entire day.

Many of you came out last year and listened as local high school choirs sing Christmas carols as you shopped. This year we invited back one of our favorites, the Wilsonville High School Choir and they will be here singing Christmas Carols from 12 pm till 2 pm. My son Austin and daughter Allison both came by last Saturday to sit on Santa’s lap and this Saturday from 11am – 4pm you can bring your children or grandchildren by to sit on Santa’s lap and get a FREE candy cane and a FREE picture with Santa. There is just something about a candy cane that helps take away the fear children have about sitting on Santa’s lap. My daughter Ally wouldn’t go near him until he held up the candy cane, then she practically ran and jumped on his lap. Go figure! Finally, the Glockenspiel Restaurant will be here from 4:00 till 6:00 to serve FREE samples of their famous German Fondue and they also will be selling glasses of their Hot Spiced Wine. You can bet I will be one of the first in line.

We are really going all out to make sure you and your family will have a great time this weekend at Bauman Farm’s. This is the second year that our U-Cut Christmas Tree field is available and my Dad, Rick, had an idea to help make your families trip out to the pumpkin patch an adventure that you soon wouldn’t forget. Last weekend all of his grandchildren came by to pick out their Christmas trees, and Grandpa had some scrap wood out that he was burning. He decided that it would be fun to grab some marshmallows and roast them by the fire while myself and my brother-in-law, Jeremiah, cut down the trees and loaded them into the trucks. Needless to say the kids absolutely loved it! Therefore, Grandpa decided that he would have a fire going by the Christmas Tree field all day on Saturday and anybody that comes by to pick out their tree could roast some marshmallows. Our family loved doing it and we hope yours will too.

Another exciting activity that will be taking place this weekend is our Wreath Making Class. The class starts at 1 pm on Saturday the 5th and will go for about 2 hours or until you finish with your wreath. All of the wreaths that you will find at Bauman Farms this year we have made ourselves and we would love to pass along this fun holiday activity with all of our great customers.

For $25 you will get a 12” wreath ring, all the holiday boughs you could imagine, ribbon for a bow, boxes of holiday decorations to choose from, and expert instruction from the Bauman elves. We would appreciate it if you would call and pre-register for the class. Space is filling up but we would love to have you. Bring a friend since it is a fun time for everyone and what a great way to make a custom holiday decoration for your home.

Every year for Christmas we ship gift boxes across the world. It is always a lot of fun to help families pick out some of their favorite Bauman items that represent all of their bounty that the Willamette Valley provides us with. This year we have a couple different ways for you to purchase a gift box for your family and friends. We understand that many of you are very busy and don’t have time to come to the farm and others of you just don’t live close enough to stop by during the Holidays.

On our website www.baumanfarms.com/store we put some of our favorite berry jams and syrups and we have also put together some popular gift packs that are a good representation of the great gourmet foods that we have in the great northwest. The website is completely set up so all you have to do is pick out what you would like, fill in your information and the address of where you would like it shipped, put your credit card information into our completely safe billing system through PayPal, and then cross one more name off your list. Who doesn’t like to receive a wonderful Gourmet Food Gift.

For those of you who are still struggling on what to get a friend or family member because you are not sure what Bauman Gourmet items they would like, then you will appreciate the Family Rewards Special for December. All Bauman Family Rewards member will receive $25 gift card for only $20 throughout the month of December. Sometimes a gift card is really the best way to go. It’s hard to figure out what someone likes to eat but if you give them a gift card they could pick out what ever they like or they can hold onto it and use it to purchase some flowers in the spring time.
